WELLNESS & LONGEVITY
Proactive care, led by real doctors
Wellness & Longevity is CareFirst’s newest care pathway — proactive, preventative health for people who’d rather stay ahead of small issues than wait for them to grow. It brings together peptide therapy, gut health, mental wellness and supplements advice under one principle: every recommendation comes from a scheduled consultation with a real, registered doctor.
You get a plan suited to you, and a doctor who stays involved for as long as that plan continues — not a once-off transaction.

PEPTIDE THERAPY
What peptides are, and how CareFirst approaches them
CareFirst does not sell peptides. Peptides are prescribed only where clinically appropriate, following a scheduled consultation with a qualified, registered doctor.
What are peptides?
Peptides are short chains of amino acids that occur naturally throughout the body, where they help regulate processes like tissue repair, metabolism and hormone signalling. In a clinical setting, specific peptides may be prescribed to support goals such as recovery, metabolic health or healthy ageing — always as part of a doctor-led plan.
What clinician supervision means in practice
Every peptide consultation starts with a review of your health history, current medication and goals. If your doctor decides peptide therapy is clinically appropriate, they prescribe a specific plan, explain what to expect, and schedule follow-up consultations to monitor your response and adjust the approach as needed.
Who might consider peptide therapy
Peptide therapy isn’t right for everyone, and that’s a clinical decision, not a personal preference. It may be worth discussing with a doctor if you’re focused on recovery, healthy ageing or metabolic wellness and want a supervised, evidence-led option — the consultation itself is where suitability gets decided.
Evidence and limits, honestly
The evidence base varies by peptide and by use — some applications are well studied, others are still developing. Your doctor will talk you through what the current research supports for your specific situation, including where the evidence is limited, so your decision is an informed one.
RESPONSIBLE, SUPERVISED USE
Prescribed only where it's clinically appropriate
Every Wellness & Longevity service follows the same principle as the rest of CareFirst’s care: nothing is prescribed unless a registered doctor decides it’s clinically appropriate for you, specifically. There’s no self-selection, and no treatment without a consultation first.
What a consultation assesses
Before anything is prescribed, your doctor works through:
- Your medical history and any current medication
- The health goal you want to address
- Whether a peptide, or another approach entirely, is the appropriate option
- A plan for monitoring your progress and following up
Ongoing oversight, not a once-off
Where treatment is appropriate, your doctor stays involved — reviewing your progress at follow-up consultations and adjusting your plan as needed. Everything you share is confidential and handled in line with POPIA.

GOOD TO KNOW
Answers before you book
Do you sell peptides?
No. CareFirst does not sell peptides. They are prescribed only where clinically appropriate, following a scheduled consultation with a qualified, registered doctor — never as a stand-alone purchase.
Are peptides safe?
Safety depends on the specific peptide, your health history and whether treatment is clinically appropriate for you — which is exactly what a consultation is for. Your doctor will only prescribe where it’s appropriate, and will monitor your progress at follow-up consultations.
Who is this for?
Wellness & Longevity is for adults who want a proactive, medically supervised approach to their health — whether that’s exploring peptide therapy, addressing gut health or mental wellness concerns, or getting evidence-based advice on supplements. Your doctor will help you work out what, if anything, is right for you.
How do the consultations work?
You book a scheduled consultation at a time that suits you, meet your doctor by voice or video, and talk through your health history and goals. If something is clinically appropriate, your doctor puts together a personalised plan and schedules follow-up consultations to review how you’re doing.
What does it cost?
A Wellness & Longevity consultation is R325 for the month of September during our Spring Special. You’ll always see the price before you book.
