How the analysis works
Vital scans read tiny changes in skin colour and movement captured by your camera to estimate heart rate, breathing rate and similar signals. Skin scans use image analysis trained on dermatology data to flag patterns worth a closer look.

Our AI models are tested against clinical-grade reference devices and dermatologist-graded image sets before release, and checked on an ongoing basis. That scope is stated plainly in your results.

How accurate are the scans?
Our AI scans are validated against clinical-grade reference devices and dermatologist-graded images before release, and checked on an ongoing basis. They’re a screening aid, not a diagnosis — accuracy is strongest for the specific signals each scan is designed to read, and any flagged result is reviewed by a real, registered doctor.
What happens to my scan photos?
Your scan photos and video are processed to generate your result and are handled in line with POPIA. They’re never sold, and they’re only shared with a doctor if you choose to take a flagged result to a consultation.
What does a scan cost?
Scan pricing is confirmed in the app before you start, so you always see the cost upfront. If your results lead to a doctor’s consultation, an instant consultation is R325.
What happens if a scan flags something?
We walk you through it in the app and recommend next steps. You can book an instant (available 24/7) or scheduled consultation with a real doctor from there, who reviews the result with you and confirms what — if anything — needs to happen next.
